Es la superficie transparente y en forma de c\u00fapula que cubre la parte frontal del ojo.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <strong>Estructura de la c\u00f3rnea<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Estructuras del ojo y capas de la c\u00f3rnea. Aunque la c\u00f3rnea es transparente y parece carecer de sustancia, en realidad es un grupo altamente organizado de c\u00e9lulas y prote\u00ednas. A diferencia de la mayor\u00eda de los tejidos del cuerpo, la c\u00f3rnea no contiene vasos sangu\u00edneos que la nutran o la protejan contra las infecciones. En cambio, la c\u00f3rnea recibe su nutrici\u00f3n de las l\u00e1grimas y el humor acuoso (un l\u00edquido en la parte anterior del ojo) que llena la c\u00e1mara que se encuentra detr\u00e1s de ella. La c\u00f3rnea debe permanecer transparente para refractar la luz correctamente, y la presencia de incluso los vasos sangu\u00edneos m\u00e1s diminutos puede interferir con este proceso.
